More about our Balance Center Staff: Karen Curran-Hogan PT, DPT | Melissa Gomez PT, DPT
The Balance Center is a facility that provides unique and specialized care for people with dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders.
Our therapists treat people who have imbalance and falls due to a variety of diagnoses including MS, PD, Post CVA, Post surgical weakness, general deconditioning and neuromuscular disorders, and dizziness due to BPPV, vestibular nurities, labyrinthitis, TBI and post surgical conditions.
As part of our evaluation, we perform a comprehensive history of the dizziness, vertigo and imbalance, a neuromuscular exam, gait analysis, balance assessment and an occulomotor/vestibular exam. Based on our findings, we develop individualized treatment and home programs using specialized, evidence-based, treatments and techniques to improve balance, decrease dizziness and prevent falls.
